Our Origin Series drums come with medium weight goat skin as standard. If you are looking for a custom drum, we offer goat skin, kangaroo, lambeg (goat) skins or goat skin vellum.
Yes, I can re-skin most Bodhrans (and other drums). Send me a query through the contacts page and I will contact you to quote (Starting at £65 for a hand worked natural hide skin). Any other damage/remedial work will be quoted for upon inspection. Postage is at your own cost.
How should I care for my new GOYT Bodhran?
Playing and enjoying your bodhran is often the best care that you can give it. You can condition the skin from time to time if it is drying out or becoming 'tinny' by rubbing a little lanolin into the tonal-hand surface of the drum. Do not let your skin become too tight and dry. Loosen the tuning ring if this happens.
How long will it take for my drum to arrive?
Following custom drum order confirmation and timescales being set, I will work to ensure your drum arrives in a timely manner. I use Royal Mail, UPS and DHL as our couriers, I do not accept responsibility and can not guarantee their service although will keep you up to date with tracking numbers and order updates where possible.
Can I find GOYT drums in stores?
Do you deliver internationally?
Yes, I will deliver internationally using recorded and insured couriers. Postage is calculated and added to any orders. Sent by recorded delivery. Any import duties or taxes are to be paid by the customer. Please check before committing to an order.
No, GOYT drums are currently only available through direct ordering. I believe in keeping a close contact and shared vision with customers. From time to time I attend trade fairs, festivals and fleadhs, where I often have a selection of drums and apparel for sale. You can, of course, place orders directly with me on these occasions. Upcoming events are advertised through GOYT social media pages.
